Hi my name is Michelle I’m a single mum of 1 amazing little girl of 18 months old, we have been on our own for nearly a year now since her dad left and we were doing ok, I was on top of my bills I was working my bum off but keeping on top. I’d been a loyal worker at my job 4 three years when 1 week before Christmas the place was robbed after Me and another staff member had closed up one night. I was then suspended from work and still being casual without pay, I was given no reason, no explanation as to why? I was then interrogated by detectives about the robbery, and now I have $1000 electricity bill $500 phone bill I ow three weeks rent and I get 800 a fortnight. I’m about to be evicted have my electricity cut off and I just go day by day trying to keep my head above water. I am 55 years old and have a 10 year old son at home. * eight years ago I was a manager of a franchise bridal shop. I had the first surgery of my life for my thryoid. It ceased functioning. Now the hormone for the rest of my life. Approximately 5 months later I was diagnosed with breast cancer and immediate treatment. Stage 3 breast Cancer…..My Life of hard working and being successful came through a halt. Not to mention the father of my child flew the coop, and onlymy poor mom was there to support me the best she could. She deceased last year. So with the help of my mom for my toddler I began my journey to recover. It was so hard. I had to rely on the system to be able to recover. That was so hard, but I had no choice. All my Life I gave.Today I am a survivor struggling not with the. Loss of my finances. I can’t make the money I used to because of my health. I did get disability then went on social security because it was more money.I need to speak to someone to help me with decisions ..I could use help with my utilities……about my home which I amlosingNow I had to take….Then I became thankful because I could w ork on recovery not worrying. Removing stress was Doctors orders and most important for my recovery.
The end of my comment is all messed up because I typed to much and it kept going back and forth for space. But bottom line , I am in that high stress again trying to manage but because of the cost of living I really am not making it…My home went into foreclosure I don’t want to lose my home….I lost my car, Just got another one..An old one, but its clean and we can roll. :))))) not very farlol but to the store, house cleaning jobs. I found out one year ago me and my children were living in a toxic rental home for all 6 years we lived there! For those interested in this site (billspaidtoday.com) please note and be aware that they tell you on the site “YOU PAY US BACK IN 30 DAYS. REPAYMENT TO THE SITE HAPPENS AUTOMATICALLY FROM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT.”
This means that they will deduct repayment to them directly from your bank account in 30 days. If you can’t afford a payment, you must be sure that you will have the money for them in your bank account the next month because you have agreed that they can automatically take the money out of your bank account the very next month.

What happen to America? Yet a better question is: What happen to the American people? American’s use to care about each other and in time of direr need, they were there to freely give a helping hand. Without any expection of getting paid nor any ill will towards the ones in need.
In these times of great need for many American people. We have to suffer and choose between feeding our children or paying bills. Our government cuts support to the american people. Yet still gives billions of our tax dollars to foreign countries. While many of us are taxpayers are becoming homeless and have no job to support our children. Than you come upon a website with hope of getting help. Yet to only find out you have to have money to receive help.
Sure if you waste time going through the blog. You will get some bits of information needed to get help. But I think your time will be better used to contact your local department of human resource. They have or can direct you in the right path to get the help you need. You don’t have to pay for something that is given freely.

I started my search for help and had a good idea where I would start looking. I complied a list and was ready to start calling. Then I stumbled onto Pat McMann’s website. That program is helping people with up to 3 months rent and utilities.
Call your electric company and let them know that your mother has a medical condition and is dependent on her oxygen and concentrator. See if they have an assistance program.
Also call the National Energy Assistance Referral (NEAR) project at (866) 674-6327.
They can help you to know where to apply for low-income energy assistance in your area.
Contact the Community Action Agency in your area for help.
You can call (202) 365-7546 for information and to get a number for a local agency.
Call any church close to you and ask if they can give you referrals for community resources that help people in need

They can connect you to local service providers that may be able to help you. They will be especially sensitive to your situation.
It takes a lot of courage to leave a domestic violence situation. There are people who understand and will do all they can to help you and your children.

Hello Everyone, I am begging to see if someone can help me pay my rent for this up coming month for August 1, 2011. I got laid off my job 2 months ago and I start a new job on tuesday August 2, 2011. The problem is that I had money saved up and collected unemployment but as we all know thats not enough. All I am looking for is $844.00 to pay my rent so that my girlfriend who is 6 months pregnant and my 3yr old son aren’t evicted. We have a 5 day grace period but as of August 6, 2011 I will be sleeping in my car. If someone could please help me I would greatly appreciate it and also write up an agreement to pay you back. I have a friend that the wiring on her air conditioning has burned up. The AC guy said she needs to get a bigger curcuit breaker and replace the wiring leading to the AC to prevent this from happening again. Where can see go to get some assistance? She does not have the money to do this. All together, I think it is going to be about three to four thousand dollars.

Look in the article “How and Where to Look for Help with Utilities” for places to start when you need help quick.
The Society of St. VIncent de Paul is usually very quick to respond.
Also check out LIHEAP. They are supposed to help people from getting service disconnected.
In some areas the city Housing Authority is helping with a program they call the Homeless Prevention Program and they are paying up to 3 months rent and utilities.
