My name is Denise Piotrowski. I am a mother of six children. My husband left the family and also his electric debt of $17,833.91. I did (out of desperation) contact this person. I have received several emails from him but when he asked me to open a Chase bank account and give him the account information, a siren went off in my head! I wrote him and explained that giving out personal bank account information online to a total stranger is very dangerous! I am waiting for his reply but something seems real fishy there!

I have anxiety disorder, sometimes raging agoraphobia and also fell in 2007, causing two vertebrae to bulge and also did some nerve damage to my left arm. I suffer from severe back pain, hip and leg pain everyday and I drop things with my left had constantly! I tried and tried to push on, through the pain and depression I had but finally cracked and I was laid off in 2010 from my job for not being able to handle the pain or the pressure and stress and shortly thereafter met a guy who I will call Jake. Jake has panic disorder, agoraphobia and dependent personality disorder. His family had abandoned him, his friends had become fatigued with his panic attacks. He was in a bad situation being abused by someone who was taking advantage of his disabilities. My mother had over 20 years of suffering this type of illness and was in an abusive marriage, and I had had my own issues with anxiety and depression so I felt I had to help. I invited him to come live in my home. I told him I would do all I could to help. I arranged some free therapy. Introduced him to my friends and family. Gave him all the kindness and love I had in me.
I had hoped it would help. It has not. He is still depressed, still agoraphobic and the worst part for me, still has dependent personality disorder. Now for those who don’t know what this is, well it means I can’t leave the house without him and naturally he can’t leave the house without me. We have not been more than 50 feet from each other in the year he has been here. He can’t go and do anything like movies, bowling, shopping or anything like that so I can’t either, when I myself feel able to do any of those things that is. Don’t feel sorry for me though. I have fallen in love and this is a small sacrifice to make sure he is okay.
We both applied for disability five months ago but it is still working through the process. My unemployment ran out six weeks ago so we have no more income and to make matters worse my father who has early onset dementia with psychotic features had no where else to go so he is living with us now. This has all put serious strain on me. How to pay bills with no money? How do I help this man I love get better? How do I get my sick dad, who has no one else to help him get to appointments with doctors and therapist when I can’t leave the house myself? How do I get better?
I am in serious need of help. I need to be able to at least keep the house and keep the lights on. I don’ t know what to do. I am lost. There is no help for someone who tries to help others. I called the department of family and children services and asked if there was any government program or even charity they knew of that I could apply for help with and they acted like I was a crazy person. She was like, “I’m sorry, I don’t know what to do for you.”
I am out of savings and my bills are due. I have appealed to family and friends but they are all strapped themselves. I have sold my van, a computer and anything else I had around my house to survive but I am tapped out. Now I am here, depressed and hurting all the time, my friend is here, depressed and we both are having a lot of anxiety. My dad is here and has no where else to go and I am so scared. I have never been in a situation where I had not only my life but the lives of others in my hands and I can’t do anything.
I feel helpless, hopeless and sometimes think it’s not worth going on. I just need some help making my bills for now until disability comes through. Then some of my stress will be reduced. Some that is. But that is most pressing right now. Like I said, keeping the lights on and a phone and car going in case of emergencies.
On top of everything I feel so alone. I have to try and smile because I don’t want my friend or dad to worry. I won’t them to know I am gonna be here for them and not let them down. But I don’t know where to turn to get the help so that does not happen. I am afraid. I am scared. I am depressed and stressed. I need help.

Here’s an idea: Walk down a strip mall or someplace that has a few businesses within site. Look at each one and not necessarily as a job but think about the vendors they do business with. this is a scam site, i got an email from them. i looked into them, and they would not stop sending me emails, then they got my messenger information and flooded me with im’s, i dug up some information on them, and it turns out they require you to send them money to secure the loan so you can get it transferred right into your bank account. do not fall for this. thankfully i have a bank account that cannot be accessed by anyone but me. but that is not the same for everyone.

i have been there before, but there is some help for you in where you job is concerned. if you were fired because you had to attend to a family crisis, you might be able to take your former employer to court. that is not only a horrible thing to do, but it is also against the law to fire someone when they are taking care of a sick member of their family

I broke my ankle in 1997, but my problems did not start there, it was in high school, when i sprained my ankle so bad i tore all the ligaments and tendons. but i did not know that, nor did the doctors. when i broke my ankle, they found i had no tendons in my ankle, and my tendons were tore, so i had an ankle reconstruction surgery on my right ankle, and ever since then i have been in severe pain. i wake up everyday, with pain, i do not sleep well at night because of the pain. i am tempermental because of it. i am unable to walk very far, nor stand on my feet for long periods of time. i have had several tests run on me, and so far every one of them have come back normal or negative, which is starting to wear down my mental state. i am in constant pain, and there is no explanation as to why. so if i seem a bit frazzled, or upset, that is why. being in pain all the time makes you less likely to think things through before you say them, and i have on more than one occasion put my foot in my mouth. especially with my fiance. and she has been on the brunt of some of my anger, but she understands what i am going through, even though her parents don’t care, nor do they want to understand what i am dealing with everyday of the week. being unable to find or keep a job has made me feel like a failure of a father and a family man. i am at risk of losing my daughter because the power company is going to shut my power off, and dhs has told me they will take my daughter if that happens. if i lose her, i will lose what little mental control i have left.

I am a single mother of two children that I love more than life. I have taken care of them on my own with no help from their father or state assistanc for 8 years. well as it stands right now, all the help i was promised came at a price. the people that wanted to send money to help asked me to send them money to pay for a money order. i did some digging and found out that the ip address their pc was connecting to the web was registered with several sites that warn you of scam artits that prey on the weak and desperate by promising money, but only take what you send them. do not fall for these. i did not fall for them, but that means i am right back at square one, but at i did not fall for a scam that would have taken what little bit of money i do have left, that i am using to pay for food and clothes for my daughter, myself and my fiance go without, but i will be damned if i let my 2 year old daughter suffer because i failed as a father.

Tbrown, in most states, not all there are provisions to help keep your electric bill from being turned off. in these times, while you wait for that help, i would do some research in seeing if your medical need allows you a bit more time to seek the help you need, i wish i could do more, as i am in the boat as you, and if i had the money, you would get it without question, but for my advice, which is free, talk to your doctors, see if there is anything they can do to keep that electric company from turning off what you need to function on a daily basis, you might be a bit surprised

not sure what problems you have had with mr. beck, but i had something similar, but much worse. he promised help to my family, and things were looking up. but they were all promises. i provided my bank information to him so he could transfer money. i got a call telling me someone was trying to use my account. my bank does not allow anyone to use it without the card attached to the card, i did not tell mr. beck that, so be careful. you might lose more than you expect.

I am 55 years old and have a 10 year old son at home. * eight years ago I was a manager of a franchise bridal shop. I had the first surgery of my life for my thryoid. It ceased functioning. Now the hormone for the rest of my life. Approximately 5 months later I was diagnosed with breast cancer and immediate treatment. Stage 3 breast Cancer…..My Life of hard working and being successful came through a halt. Not to mention the father of my child flew the coop, and onlymy poor mom was there to support me the best she could. She deceased last year. So with the help of my mom for my toddler I began my journey to recover. It was so hard. I had to rely on the system to be able to recover. That was so hard, but I had no choice. All my Life I gave.Today I am a survivor struggling not with the. Loss of my finances. I can’t make the money I used to because of my health. I did get disability then went on social security because it was more money.I need to speak to someone to help me with decisions ..I could use help with my utilities……about my home which I amlosingNow I had to take….Then I became thankful because I could w ork on recovery not worrying. Removing stress was Doctors orders and most important for my recovery.
The end of my comment is all messed up because I typed to much and it kept going back and forth for space. But bottom line , I am in that high stress again trying to manage but because of the cost of living I really am not making it…My home went into foreclosure I don’t want to lose my home….I lost my car, Just got another one..An old one, but its clean and we can roll. :))))) not very farlol but to the store, house cleaning jobs. Yet still gives billions of our tax dollars to foreign countries. While many of us are taxpayers are becoming homeless and have no job to support our children. Sure if you waste time going through the blog. You will get some bits of information needed to get help. But I think your time will be better used to contact your local department of human resource. I am a student going.to school to be a medical assistant and than later on further my education to a rn and I lost my job in October and havent gotten one since. Check with your city’s Housing Authority to see if they have a Homeless Prevention Program.
That program is helping people with up to 3 months rent and utilities.
Call your electric company and let them know that your mother has a medical condition and is dependent on her oxygen and concentrator. See if they have an assistance program.
Also call the National Energy Assistance Referral (NEAR) project at (866) 674-6327.
They can help you to know where to apply for low-income energy assistance in your area.
Contact the Community Action Agency in your area for help.
You can call (202) 365-7546 for information and to get a number for a local agency.
Call any church close to you and ask if they can give you referrals for community resources that help people in need

See if you can get a counselor at Catholic Charities to help you to get help with with housing, utility and clothing issues.
If you have not applied for Medicaid, they may be able to help you with that, to help with medical issues and food.

Sounds like you have inadequate income to meet your monthly expenses and need a way to increase your monthly income and/or reduce your monthly expenses. In some areas Catholic Charities has a Financial Fitness program that helps people get finances under control.

hello, my name is meaux. i have a young child in the home with me. both my husband & i have low paying jobs. we are neg 200 in the bank. since last week i’ve been calling around my area to find some kind of assistance. started with my electric company to see if they could hold off until end of next wk & they said NO! told them that we had a child. but they do not make extension for anyone they said. my electric will be turned off on monday at 8am or if i can make a payment. i’ve never been late on anything.

I’ve own my property and paid my taxes on time for 13 years, and never could get the financing I wanted to develope my farm project on my property, and as a result of not having a job any longer or having an income because of not being able to find work in our recession torn state, and being in a very rural area (I even tried selling some of my possessions) which is listed as a depressed area and there is little chance I will make my deadline when my payment (taxes) is due. I have a friend that the wiring on her air conditioning has burned up. The AC guy said she needs to get a bigger curcuit breaker and replace the wiring leading to the AC to prevent this from happening again. Where can see go to get some assistance? Also check out LIHEAP. They are supposed to help people from getting service disconnected.
In some areas the city Housing Authority is helping with a program they call the Homeless Prevention Program and they are paying up to 3 months rent and utilities.
